About The Ginger Room

The Ginger Room is as elegant and enticing as a plate of petits fours. Flooded in natural light and decorated with signature bespoke colors and refined furnishings, it’s a sophisticated venue for picking up your favorite fresh juice, a cup of locally roasted coffee, grabbing lunch, or midday afternoon or high tea. The light airy space offers Wifi and is an excellent addition to downtown Alpharetta.

Located at 61 Roswell St, Alpharetta, GA 30009, The Ginger Room operates as a tea house serving Alpharetta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as coffee shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 am–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (678) 399-9964. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is the-gingerroom.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 342 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

I was excited to visit The Ginger Room to celebrate my husband's birthday. We've enjoyed afternoon tea at several other local establishments, as well as in London, and had high hopes for the experience. Unfortunately, we found afternoon tea at The Ginger Room to be underwhelming. The venue itself is charming and we appreciated the items on display straight from the UK (including gift boxes from Fortnum and Mason's). Our server, however, had very low energy and did little to ingratiate herself or enhance our experience. We were presented with the menu, were told that many of the items on the "savory" menu were not available, (for a moment we had considered switching to high tea...), and proceeded to order our selected teas. The tower of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats was brought out at least TEN minutes BEFORE our tea which we found to be extremely disappointing. Our teapots were not filled, though when I inquired about that fact, I was told she would add more tea if requested. Though the sandwiches were tasty, the tower seemed skimpy compared to other afternoon teas we have enjoyed. They did surprise us with a slice of birthday cake which was a nice touch. Overall, I thi

I was in Atlanta for another event but my friend has always wanted to go to a High Tea. I searched online and saw The Ginger Room had good reviews and they were so right. Everyone was so sweet and they took a lot of time and care explaining all of our options to us and answering any and all questions we had. The food was amazing - if you have a chance to try the Shepherd’s Pie I cannot recommend it enough. The scones + clotted cream and jams were also the best I’ve ever had. I saw some reviews saying the portions were small but I honestly felt the opposite. We were so full we couldn’t even finish it all between the two of us (they offer to-go containers though). We were there celebrating my friends birthday and we mentioned it offhand and they gave her a tiara to wear and a slice of cake with a birthday candle, it was so sweet and unexpected. I will absolutely go back if I’m ever in the Atlanta area again. Every part was so great and worth every penny.

Have been here a few times now, it’s a great spot for classic English high tea (or afternoon tea). Good to knowβ€” people get dressed up to go here. The owner is very involved and lovely to chat with. Scones and everything very delicious except for the clotted cream, which was butter, not clotted cream. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as they typically don’t take walk ins, and very important to show up on time as each table has a time limit of 1hr 30 mins in order to prepare for the next seating. Plenty of dedicated parking behind the building.

What a unique and pretty way to celebrate a girls day out. My friends surprised me for my birthday and we all felt like queens. We tried three different teas- mango smelt and tasted incredible, ginger and chai also equally delicious. The mini sandwiches were refreshing. The scones AMAZING. Pastries were so pretty and good.
